Environmental

Advanced conversion technologies are vital to the future of the environment in Europe. EuroEco Fuels’ process makes an important contribution to reducing the greenhouse gas emissions that cause climate change.

EuroEco Fuels Poland’s waste tyre recycling technology in Szczecin, Poland has the potential to offset over 205,300 tonnes of CO2 emissions per annum by converting 112,500 tonnes of waste tyres into high value fuels and commodities.

These CO2 emissions are equal to the annual emissions associated with the energy consumption of over 41,000 households or annual emissions associated with over 109,000 cars.

3,2 mln tonnes

Every year, the European Union produces approximately 3.2 million tonnes of end of life tyres.

2 l for every kg

Every kilogram of our product (coming from waste tyres) saves the need for 2 litres of oil.

50% of CO2

Our process is so carbon negative that every year it offsets CO2 emission of 50% of cars in Szczecin.

Environmental Leadership

Through the recovery of liquid transport fuels, the extraction and production of the following primary commodities and fuels will be offset:

  • 29,000 tonnes of carbon filler production offset per annum
  • 9,700 tonnes of coal, for energy generation, offset per annum
  • 36,600 tonnes of diesel fuel oil, for energy generation, offset per annum
  • 6,400 tonnes of petroleum, for energy generation, offset per annum
  • 6,700 tonnes of natural gas for energy generation offset per annum

As well as providing a sustainable solution to waste tyre disposal, EuroEco Fuels Poland’s technology is designed to comply with EU emission standards in order to minimise impact to the environment.

Poland is at the vanguard of Europe’s environmental strategy and EuroEco Fuels is central to achieving Poland’s strategic environmental policy objectives - by 2020, 20% of energy in every member state in the European Union must come from waste. EuroEco Fuels’ advanced conversion process contributes directly to that goal.

At EuroEco Fuels we have secured all necessary permits required to operate an industrial scale petrochemical production plant. We have satisfied intense scrutiny from all relevant authorities and continue to work in partnership with them to secure our contribution to safeguarding the environment in an ever more integrated Europe.
